BU CASE STUDY

Project overview

BuyLinks is a custom business application built with Laravel and MySQL. It combines a generation-plan network structure with product functionality, so distribution and commerce operate in one system rather than two disconnected tools.

Business challenge

Generation-plan compensation is depth-based rather than position-based, which means commission logic must walk a variable-depth tree efficiently as the network grows. Adding product purchasing to the same system multiplies the consistency requirements: an order, its qualification effect and its commissions must commit or fail together.

Proposed solution

Laravel was used for its migration, ORM and queue primitives: the network tree is modelled with explicit generation depth, commission runs are queued jobs wrapped in transactions, and product orders feed qualification rules through a single service layer so business logic lives in one place.

Features & functionality

  • Generation-plan network structure
  • Product catalogue and purchasing
  • Commission engine with depth-aware traversal
  • Member account area
  • Administrative reporting

Technical architecture

Laravel with Eloquent models, queued commission jobs, MySQL InnoDB storage and foreign-key integrity across member, order and commission tables. Financial writes are transactional and idempotent to allow safe retries.
