LU CASE STUDY

Project overview

Lumivco is a Shopify cosmetics store built for a United States client. The work centred on presenting a beauty product range with the visual fidelity the category requires while keeping the buying path short on mobile, where most cosmetics discovery happens.

Business challenge

Beauty retail is image-led and comparison-heavy. Shoppers need consistent product photography, clear variant selection and fast navigation between ranges, on a phone, without friction between the landing page and checkout.

Proposed solution

The storefront was structured around visual merchandising: collection layouts that keep imagery consistent, product pages that surface variants and detail above the fold on mobile, and a cart and checkout path that stays within the standard Shopify flow to avoid custom points of failure.

Features & functionality

  • Visual collection merchandising
  • Variant selection tuned for mobile taps
  • Responsive product detail layout
  • Standard Shopify cart and checkout flow
  • Editable section-based homepage

Technical architecture

Shopify theme development with Liquid sections and blocks so the client can compose homepage and collection layouts without developer involvement. Assets are compressed and lazy-loaded; third-party scripts are kept to a minimum to protect mobile load time.
